Happy half-birthday to Evan!
six months
Today Evan turned six months old and he actually seemed older. He's smiling more often, and unprovoked. We used to have to make funny faces, stick out our tongues, and practically put on a red clown nose just to make him smile, but now he initiates smiles. He smiles just to tell us hello.

Evan loves music! The best way to get a big smile from him is to sing to him. He also loves his nursery rhymes CD which we play in the car. Sometimes he gets bored in his car seat and starts fussing. We'll turn on the CD and he immediately gets quiet, sucks his thumb, and looks out the window (ahhh, the good life). Right as we're about to get sick of "hey diddle diddle" or "fuzzy wuzzy was a bear," we'll turn down the music and put on something more palatable like Nirvana, and he immediately starts to cry again. He loves his nursery rhymes.
