Evan's 1-yr checkup

Checkup with Dr. Bloom -- Evan's lost a lot of his baby fat. After being in the 75th-95th percentiles for weight, he's now in the 50th percentile, at just over 22 pounds. He's also in the 50th percentile for height at 29 1/2 inches. His head is big though -- 75th percentile. Full of brains.

He had his first haircut last week. The red hair was growing up and over his ears, and was long in the back and on top of his head, with a ring of old-man baldness around the sides. We evened it out a lot. He sat on my lap and did pretty well -- no crying. I think he did so well because Jerry taped him with the camcorder, and Evan was fascinated by it.

Today he kept himself busy by putting things into other things. He took one my shirts out of the chest of drawers, then put it into other drawers. Then he took it back out and put it in another drawer. This kept him busy for a good 15 minutes while I made dinner. Then he took Jerry's shirt out and mopped the kitchen floor with it, then put it back in the drawer.
