The story about his forehead
I completely forgot to post about Evan's forhead. We had received a ton of snow a couple weeks ago (well, maybe only 4-6"), but it was freezing and windy outside, so I kept the kids inside. This resulted in them bouncing off the walls, running and screaming in the house. I had just finished giving a few of them time-outs for not listening and running in the house. Evan was the first to not listen, and started running again. He tripped on the couch cushion, flew through the air, and landed forhead-first on the corner of the fireplace.

There was much blood and I tried not to freak out. I put in a 911 call because there was so much blood. The paramedics asked him some questions to make sure he didn't have a concussion, and Evan said things like, "Thomas is my favorite toy. He is number 1. And Henry is number 3. He is the green train." So he was fine, just needed stitches.

At the hospital, they had to first rinse out the wound to clean it. This freaked him out. He hates water in his eyes. Then they took a huge needle and thread and started sewing him up - 3 internal stitches. It grossed Jerry and I out completely. Evan was calm for awhile, then cried. At the end, they covered it with purple "glue" that acts like stitches for the outside of the skin. It dissolves on its own.

As we were leaving the hospital, Jerry asked Evan if he wanted his coat on. Evan said, "no, I just pulling my underwear out of my butt." So he was fine.

Later, when asked what happened, he would say, "I ran in the house and hit the corner. They put water on my head and it got into my eyes! It hurt me!" That's the only part that seems to have traumatized him.
